Objective: Write an opinion essay.

Topic: Any topic you decide from the ones we discussed this block: symbols, stereotypes, culture shock, cutural differences, identity, prejudice, discrimination.

Length: 180- 220 words

Format and layout: Printed in 1 page. Fonts: Arial/ Calibri/ Times New Roman #11   Space: 1.5 

Including the following:  

a) Personal data and subject data

b) Title

c) Introductory paragraph with your "thesis statement"

d) Body paragraphs (2- 3)

e) Concluding paragraph

f) If you use references include them on APA or MLA format.

Step 2. Give it to your professor so she can correct it and give you feedback.

Step 3. Make the corrections.

Format:  Opinion essay. It includes Intro/ Body/ Conclusion. It is divided into topic paragraphs. It includes references.

Content: It includes your thesis statement. It conveys your opinion clearly. Your ideas was justified by your arguments.

Coherence and cohesion: Your ideas are clearly organized and linked using connectors and referents.

Vocabulary and spelling: It is used a wide range of vocabulary. Not many words repeated. There are no spelling mistakes.

Grammar: It uses varied grammar structures to convey your ideas. There are no grammar mistakes.
